Besides Datebook5 and Agendus what other organizers are there out there and which one do you prefer?

those are the 2 most popular. Agendus and Datebk5 are both great apps (I have them both) but I prefer Datebk5 slightly over Agendus.

Agendus has a nicer interface, but it is eyecandy.

I use DateBk5, it is more powerful (too much some time) and the developper is one of the best guy on the block, in the same league as Jeff of ShadowPlan, Paul of pedit/LTH fame and Jerry of Megawiki. Those are guys who really listen to their users.

For DateBk there is a good user group on yahoo at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pimlicodatebk

Enjoy,

There may be other organisers out there apart from datebk5 or agendus, but they don't compete or hold a candle to these products.

If you are thinking of which one is better (which an ambiguous question!) - I suggest that you download both and evaluate them. It would be worth the time and effort as one may be better suited to you than the other.
Admittedly, you need to take your time with both of them since they have a lot of features and functionality - especially datebk5 - this product has a high learning curve - but well worth it once you have it configured to your own tastes

... yes - my 615 tastes like chocolate, but that's because I keep on dropping it in my cakes... :)

Edgeguy,

You can go here to see the best selling organizers at the Handango website:

Of the two, I prefer DateBk5.

There's one other datebook replacement besides DateBk5 and Agendus... that's DateMan from www.standalone.com

Like DateBk5 and Agendus, DateMan supports appointment categories, but DateBk5 still has the most versatile category handling.

DateMan doesn't have the To-Do bells and whistles of DateBk5 or Agendus (alarms for To Do's, repeating To Do's).

One nice thing that DateMan does do... on the month display for daily repeating events, it shows the text of the events directly on the display... something the other two don't do.

Cheers
