Hi folks,
I noticed that if I fully charge my T5 and not use it for a few days, the battery drains down. A couple times I have fully charged and left for 3-4 days and it has drained down to 80% or so. I didn't think it was supposed to do that?? Any suggestions?? Thanks!!!! Doug

Interesting. I've not noticed this with my T5 which I use since end of October last year. As far as I know it shouldn't do that. Perhaps you've some software installed that erratically turns on the T5?

Sorry to be of no more help.

Cheers.

nope, it does drain when its off, read my thread. Its called "Researching T5 mysterious death, need your help peeps!" in that thread, i talk about why the T5 dies and leaving it without charging for 2 days can drain the battery completely!
u want to know how i know? thats because ive tried it 4 TIMES!

Hmm... I have just about same problem with my th55. Th55 will sometimes start read memory stick when it is OFF, so i think that your t5 has same problem. So if i charge sony clie th55 fully and it will read ms hole night then at morning half of battery life is gone. Only think what i now know, what will fix it, is soft reset, so if i see my th55 when it does read ms i will make soft reset and it should be fine. Hard reset may work, but i haven't tested it. At start when i did get th55 it didn't read ms at all when it was off, so reason MUST be 3rd-party softwares, but i don't know. I have noticed that th55 audioplayer or wlan could also be the reasons for that problem.

I hope that helps, if you did understand my bad english. lol ;)

OK. I read this thread. Most intriguing. Well, I always turn Bluetooth off when I don't need it (why would you leave in on anyway?) and Beam Receive is turned off also. Perhaps that's why I haven't noticed any problems - although I leave my SD card in once in a while (i.e. I don't pay attention to this)?

Cheers.

it still working in background...
T5 still has usual ram (32Mb) for heap, database heap and iso of system.

just this drain is very small.

I have not noticed anything like that with my T5 which I have since November. What I have noticed is that sometimes it wakes up with no reason though. Perhaps something like is happening in your case. Also, once I had the alarm and I was away. When I got back, almost an hour after the alarm started, my T5 was still on.

In any case, I had a big problem with battery draining with my hp hx4700 due to the way windows mobile works.

All rechargable batteries will drain off slowly even if it is not used. It does not matter if it is in a phone, a pda, a toy.

ACtually it can be possible that an alarm went off that did not completly wake up the device. I have that happen quite often actually since I use KeySuite and have a ton of alarms in seperate calendar and task categories. At this time I am at a loss for a possible fix, but it does seem related to Garnet 5.4 and the NAND RAM.
