hi all, after a looong time.. i'm back on nx80 modding.. i've read quite all the 40+ pages on CF gps thread.i also did a search..
probally i'm dumb and i need an imput..
with a nx 80, what gps system you would choose ? the mouse one - on ebay for about 80 usd - or the CF one based on pelaca driver ?

my concernin is about the battery life and functionality.. i would choose cf gps, more portable, but...

if anyone could summarize the state of art on gps for NX , i would be grateful...

i read also the sticky posts, but since there's not one on cf gps i assume is not stable yet.. or i'm wrong ?

regards

I use the Mapopolis GPS. Lots of wires and not portable without a 12volt power supply, it works GREAT in the car and I use it all the time. With the 2gb memstick, I have all roads in Florida downloaded and many highways in adjoining states. I am waiting for Mapopolis to come up with boating navigation charts!

If you want something that is practically plug-n-play for the '80V...this is one sure choice

thanks jet, in meantime i bought an haicom hi204s mouse, wired and also it uses the 12 v in car, i wondering if with a direct cable would be possible to use it walking.. probally would drain the battery in a breeze.. like my wl100 do.
this mouse with mapsonic (better coverage for eu/italy) works great.

thanks for answering
