I have got a 128MB MS in my Clié NX70, I have transfere like 30 pictures to this MS, directory \DCIM, but when launching any of the image programs (CLIE Viewer PhotoStand, PhotoEditor, etc.) only a fraction (like 12!) pictures are displayed!

How can I access/use the others?

Try using AcidImage to view them. It automayically scans your memory stick and finds your pictures irregardless where they are stored.

Thanx, it's hot! :)

Although there is one drawback to this solution: When trying to pick an image for say an 'Addressbook' entry, I can only choose among the set of pictures available in 'CLIE Viewer' (the same applies for 'PhotoStand')! :(

Then you need to move or copy them to the correct folder on the memory stick. The Sony OEM apps look in certian folders only and that's it. To find what goes in what folder, look at the application manual on the CD that came with the Clie.

According to the manual, JPEG-encoded images are to be stored in /PALM/IMAGES, but unfortunately after transfere my pictures to this folder, only those 12 where found, which have been found already previously, the remaining 18 pictures, well...

How are your files named? Clie Viewer sees all the jpg's on my Clie in the '/DCIM/101MSDCF' and the prc's in the '/Palm/Picturegear' folders. I have nothing in the '/Palm/Images' folder, except the Clie Album folder. Are all the jpegs there have exactly the same format?

Hmm, I am using folder /Palm/Images, where are the subfolders art, family, and nature located, which host the JPEG-files named like art001.jpg, art002.jpg, martin001.jpg, susi001.jpg, nature001.jpg, nature002.jpg, and so forth.

Clie Viewer and PhotoStand seem to pick images rather arbitrarily, e.g. susi001.jpg is missing, but susi002.jpg is available, any images named art...jpg are missing completely!

I tried to move all images out of the subfolders to the parent folder (/Palm/Images), but the weird behavior doesn't change at all, same arbitrarily picked images! :(

Btw. with folder /DCIM it was just the same! :(

If you've got a Windows machine, try the following:

1. open MSImport on the Clie
2. open My Computer and find the drive letter of your Clie's Memory Stick
3. Start->Run, type "command" without quotes and hit Enter
4. type "X:" and push Enter, where X is the drive letter of your Clie's MemStick
5. type "dir /s *.jpg > jpeg.txt" and push Enter... if done correctly, you'll see nothing else
6. type "exit"
7. open the jpeg.txt file from your MemoryStick with notepad and copy/paste the contents into a reply here

And how would I accomplish this on a MacOS X-system?

Have you got a Memory Stick card reader?
