I have an SJ-30 and I sync with outlook. I have been trying to get the holiday to show on my calendar in outlook so that they will show on my Clie. I am failing at this miserably.

I searched for free or shareware that would allow me to dl holidays right into my Clie, but they all required me to be usein Palm desktop software and I don't.

Can anyone help me? Id really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanx, Yummi

Hi guy,

You can try Intellisync and download from palmgear.com. Enjoy!

If I am reading your question correct you are looking how to add holidays in Outlook.

I'm not sure what version of Outlook you are using but this should work:

Select 'Tools -Options'
Select the 'Calender Options' button.
In the middle of the screen you should see the 'Add Holiday..' button
It should ask you what country's holidays to add.

That should be it.

The next time you sync your Clie (assuming you have intellisync or PocketMirror) the holidays should be present.

I have done that MrFloyd and unfortumately it doesnt solve my problem and here is why. I am running Outlook 98 so the holidays only go to 2001 and there is no holiday upgrade from Microsoft to help me. I am going to attempt to load Outlook 2k over my Outlook 98 today and if it lets me, I will have what I am after. If not I will be purchasing some Shareware to get what I am after.

Thank you for responding. I appreciate your help.

You can just delete the ones you don't want. Change the current view dropdown to "Events", then sort to your taste and delete what you don't need.

I had the same problem last summer when I had to recreate my calendar - I had moved from Poland back to the US and the timezone change was a B-I-G problem in Outlook. Anyhow, I eventually got rid of all the holidays, and recreated them. The following URL tells why the holidays only go through 2003 in certain versions of Outlook and how to get holidays through 2007. Note: there are several "pay as you go" methods, but you can follow the instructions and add holidays for free. The shareware option does make it easier.

If you are only interested in US Holidays, then you could use the following freeware app to add them to your PDA.  It will add holidays in perpetuity.

Sralmas, I wish the link worked, but alas.....
I purchased Holidates from PalmGear for 9.95 and it did the trick. It also goes to 2007 where Megaholidays only went to 2005. It was also more then Holidates.

Thanx everyone!

I am surprised the link doesn't work for you; works fine for me.  Anyone else have trouble with the link?
