Does anyone have dead pixels ?
Will go away itself ?
Someone told me to "massage" gently using a thumb onto the screen where the dead pixel isfor 3 minutes.....don't you think it works ?

I don't think they tend to go away by themselves, except in that I had a couple that only showed up in certain apps and not others, and I'm not sure what that meant. I don't have any that are officially stuck on my NR-70V.

I always found that "massaging" pixels worked like a charm on my Mac laptop, but I'm not sure if this screen is enough the same for it to work, since this is a touch-sensitive screen. Worth a shot, though, isn't it? (especially if you have a CompUSA warranty!)

Your mileage may vary, but on my laptops I always found it took just a bit more pressure than I would have liked to apply - and usually with the flat surface of a fingernail - to get the pixels unstuck. I never did any damage, and they all went away, but it usually took me about a week before I finally had the guts to push hard enough for it to work. Again - don't use this as a promise that pushing hard enough on the Clie screen will do it for you!

Good luck. Let the list know if you get any pixels unstuck.

I don't think it will work. The actual LCD screen is located under the glass portion that has the digitizer. So, actually, you run the risk of damaging your digitizer by "massaging" the location of the dead pixel.

Are there any solution to fix it (dead pixels) ?
Or just leave it the way ?

Ah, don't mention dead pixels. I have one right dead center on my desktop screen and I don't notice it unless I think about it. Now thats all I will see all night!:)

Oh, and this is my 1000th post by the way. Oh yeah!!

Not On the PDA side of it. The Pixels are under glass, the only way to remove that issue would be to break the glass, which usually (OK, ALWAYS) causes catastrphic damage to the screen that NO warranty except one specifically coveing the screen will apply to. And as far as the dead pixels in only certain apps, maybe there was a color difference when using the apps that made them more noticable, cause they were likely there all along, but they are usually white, onm a white background with most color PDA's

If you use a magnifying glass to look at the LCD screen, you will notice that each pixel is made up from 3 little strip of LCDs. They are red, blue and green.

Usually a dead pixel is not entirely dead, just one of the color stays on all time or one color doesn't light anytime.

Why you would have a dead pixel in certain apps is because the background color of them are different. Usually a dead pixel will only show up if your screen is pure white or pure black.
