Hi all,
I am having extreme difficulty obtaining either a spare charger or an EB40 here in the UK. Is there anyone willing to buy one and send me it? I can pay by paypal.

Hmm just saw the brando shop link for the third party cradle for $31. Nice.

Id you want a third party cradle, get a leather case because the third-party cradles available are really bulky, more than the original. As for the Brando leather charging cradle. These are pics of the brando charger.

I do not recommend it if you want it for the MS slot because it expands so much that the MS card falls out of it.
Look here for a charger package for the UX. A leather case, AC Adapter, and Car charger for $39 http://www.gadgetinfinity.com I've never tried this place so I don't know how great of a charger it is. Just know the package is good.

I bought a EB40 from ebay recently and I am afraid in UK that is the only place to get it.
Last time I saw some UX50 charger in tottenham court road in London. This is the only place I can think of.
Good Luck

I'm really not into cases. I like this:

and will keep my eye out for an EB40 on ebay i think. An extra cradle will do for now and this is less than half the price of a sony one.
I have modified the brando charger as shown.
The four batteries fit very well and it is a good alternative to an EB40.

I followed this ti[p and bought a brando charger. Odd thing happened when my clie was fully charged: it started to make alarming clicking noises. Not nice at all!
Has anyone else had this problem with charging?

Never heard of this problem before. I got a charging case, don't think it's the Brando one...it doesn't have the white stiching, and it seems very useful thus far.

That sounds rather strange though... why would it make clicking noises..?

Well, if I were to guess, it sounds like the unit is switching on and off because it is fully charged, or there is a loose connection, and the interferrence is being picked up by the speaker. Maybe. If I jiggle it a bit it seems to stop.
I'll see how it goes. If it does not stop I'll send it back, because I can;t live with that clicking!
