This thread for me is solely for the PSP:

I have the english translater version of image converter 2 and I tried to convert my DVDs that I have backed up from my computer. The DVD backup quality are really high so I need to seperate them into different cards. I have 2 512mb cards and everytime I convert them and divide them using 70min or 448mb divide it keeps failing!

the quality is:
dimension is 640 or higher (width and whatever the height is automatically adjusted)
audio is 128 VBR mp3
encoding is divx pro 5.1.1
total size is 1.00 - 2.00 gb

I can't use 3gp converter to divide them so I rely on image converter 2.
image converter 2 can also encode the full movie with no problem just like 3gp but 3gp uses less space with the same qualities, so I prefer 3gp when encoding full movies without having to divide them, but since I don't have the 1 gig or 2 gig mem stick duo I have to divide them. So if anyone know a fix to this problem let me know? I'm sure there is something wrong with my setup or the copy of image converter because I have tried it on 2 computer saying the same problem ("Failed to encode") or something like that! If the dividing works for you let me know the trick to your setup, PLEASE!!!!!!

I also do not want to split the original avi files when I know image converter can do that. Also I don't like to backup my DVD's into seperate files, it's a hassle. If this problem can be fix then we would all save more money from buying the 1 or 2 gig duos of course until they drop in price so until then this is the only option I have in having a near DVD quality movie for the PSP.

As far as I understand from image converter 1.5 it only splits filie if you use "temporary files". See help file. Try using it.
