For elegance . . . MSDict English Pro.

I bought Pocket Oxford English Dictionary bundled with MSDict Viewer. My BF uses DictionaryToGo. Check out the review done by Tanker Bob. He's the man who helped me to decide on MSDict Viewer with his comprehensive reviews of all major Palm dictionaries in the market. ;)

If you want complete integration with your TH55 and with any application you are using, I totally agree with wellsjs and fssia that Bieks BDicty Dictionaries are the way to go. http://www.beiks.com/palmzonebg/Lexicons/English.htm Why? Because this dictionary has a shortcut icon created at the command bar, thus you can access the dictionary on any application that you are currently using. But the definitions are simple and straight to the point.

But, if you are a student and wants to improve on your vocabulary skills. I would recommend getting PocketLingo's American Heritage College Dictionary. It has its own flashcard program and supports 480x320 of the TH55. It blows away DictionaryToGo. http://pocketlingo.com/products/palm-pl-tpl.asp?product=college

DictionaryToGo is nice because of its simplicity and ease of use. That's the only thing I can say about it.

I have all of them and I prefer the combination of PocketLingo and BDicty.

MSDict works in Landscape too. I assign the Oxford English Pro to the hardly used Find button. Since it is in Status Bar, I can access it from any apps.

I casually use the Pocket Oxford English Dictionary bundled with Mobipocket... It's convenient and Mobipocket allows you to download the New York Times and other news and websites to your palm automatically. You can also take out mobipocket formatted ebooks from some librarires on the internet (e.g. The New York Public Library). If you're a real student of literature, I think the only full dictionary available for the palm is from ereader, they have the complete "Webster's Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged"--catch is, it's 65 bucks and takes up 37 megabytes of space.

I really like and use PocketLingo's dictionaries. I have the American Heritage College, the American Heritage Idioms, Roget's II: The New Thesaurus, and the Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, all integrated.

I've got various standalone dictionaries for my TH55, including Pocket Lingo's American Heritage. But for my money, the best choice is the combination of eReader Pro and Merriam-Webster's 11th Collegiate Dictionary: it's up-to-date, authoritative, includes pronunciation info and etymologies, and can be accessed easily, even if you're not reading an ebook with eReader. I find myself almost never using PocketLingo or Dictionary to Go, although I have both of those on my TH55, as well.

(Actually, if you want killer dictionary power, also get eReader's version of the Webster's New World College Dictionary; you can easily switch between the two, bopping between Merriam-Webster's and New World's definitions of the same word without having to enter the word a second time. I find this very useful.)

Same here. I also use a Merriam Webster's 10 edition dictionary when I am in ereader since it's integrated

Add me to the list of MSDict users.

I use version 5.80, but notice that they have moved on to version 6.

Has anyone tried the new version? Are there new features other than just a new interface? Is it worth the upgrade price?

Search for it. Here are a couple threads:
MSDict Viewer 6.0! (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64936&highlight=msdict)
MSDict 6 (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70910&highlight=msdict).
The split screen is cool for 320x480 screen or 480x320 viewing.
