Hi,
Will there be a successor to the
665? I just lost my Toshiba e740 somewhere in the airport and need
a replacement. I don't want a keyboard
ala TG50. Preferabbly, I am looking
for a WIFI unit that can understand
Cisco LEAP...surprising no PALM
based devices can support it now as
there's virtually no way to connect to
most corporate wireless without LEAP.

Only PDAs I see supporting LEAP are
the iPAQs with the bulky add-on that
uses Cisco PCMCIA cards. I'd think that
with Cisco licensing their wireless
security for free to others that we should
see product announcements for LEAP soon.

If there are no LEAP capable WIFI on
the horizon, then I may not have to wait anymore and just get the SJ33.

I believe that Sony considers the SJ33 to be the T665 replacement. The specs are almost identical, i.e. plastic case, and enhanced IR.

FYI, i.e means "for example", thus making it seem that you are saying both clies have plastic cases and enhanced ir's. Not to be nit picky, but it could be confusing to other forum browsers>;)

 I have received and email from Clie Planet which claims that a new model will be announced within 3 weeks. Another T series would be great.

I agree that I could have made my comment more clear. However, not to nit-pick, but i.e. does not mean "for example", e.g. means that. From Webster's:

Main Entry: i.e.
Function: abbreviation
Etymology: Latin id est
that is

Main Entry: e.g.
Function: abbreviation
Etymology: Latin exempli gratia
for example

I guess this answers my post about Palm.

Palm is announcing a new PDA soon (see link above) that would be the closer replacement for the T665. I hope this is something cool. I have been waiting for this. Do you know where you read this???

Thanks for the heads up!

At least I learn something other than Palm on this forum...This is good and I had been inter-use both ie and eg in many cases in the past. I guess I won't make the mistake again and claim to pass my English 101 :D
