Brian,
You mentioned in your review the battery in the SJ22 could be replaced but it would be difficult. Why is that? Does Sony intend for the owner to replace the battery (i.e., any loss of warranty if the owner replaces the battery)? Do you know how much a replacement battery costs? I'm comparing the SJ22 hardware with the Dell Axim X5 (I know, different platform). The X5 has a long(er) battery life plus it is replaceable.
Thanks,
Tom

They have no intention of users replacing the battery, but it you unscrewthe cover, you can see the battery and the connecting cables. I would not suggest anyone try this on their own, I was just noting that it can be done.

It is quite easy on SJs: remove one phillips head screw, and pop the battery out after disconnecting the 2 prong connector. However, you won't find any batteries on the market yet and you my void your warranty.
