So we've got this flash player thingie...

Does it need special format files?

Where can I find files for it? It seems like it has potential, but any time I search for the word "flash" in conjunction with anything regarding portables or pdas, I get nothing but loads of articles about compact flash cards.

Any good sources?

When doing a search for Flash, you might also just try looking for Macromedia Flash, and without any mention of PDA's. There is a lot of Flash content thats isn't really designed for PDA Flash players that still work on it.

Have to look for some more flash thingie files.

Some of which works on my desktop also works on the little guy.

Pretty neat if you ask me. I don't seek them out, only ones that I may stumble over :).

For the StarTrek fans, the link posted by Pixel Painter is for a faux "tri-corder". Geek factor of 100.... Definite keeper....

Partridge,
Try here as well> www.flashenabled.com. A whole section on flash apps for the NX (applys ot ours as well)

I didn't give the link, just fleshed it out.... "Kudos" to Pixelpainter!
I had a Tricorder emulator on my first Palm with a geekfactor of 10. This just blows it away! With the better speaker on the NZ, it's clearly audible. The same author also posted some nice ST Wonderskins in the skins/virtual graffiti section.
It looks like there may be the ability to expand the functionality of these flash files. Load all 3 and it will toggle between em. There is a home button at top left. I was on the NZ when I downloaded the files (yes, you can do that!) and so didn't spend much time in the posts. Fun flash file regardless!!
My wife just laughed at me when she heard/saw it... :p

the sites are in french, but however, a lot of the files are in english!

As for learning french, that's a good idea, it is so nice to be able to communicate in more than one language!

If you really need to learn a language that is useful, try Java or C :)

Heres is my favorite.
http://www.cyberkids.com/fg/ga/ad/sn/start.html

You have to pull the flash files out of your "TempInternet" folder once the game has loaded [once for each of the four levels].
Just do a "clear all content" in IE/Tools/Options, load the site and snatch the files out to another folder.
Game plays off the MS fine.
The other fun site, but I don't know just what you can "pull" off it, is called "Liquid Generation".......mostly/kinda mature content.

How the heck do you manage to download/find the flash files on your computer? If I could just figure out how to find the filenames, I'd be in great shape.

you go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\"your name"\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

then find anything finishing by .swf and drag and drop in MS Import after opening MS Export!!!

Et voilą!

DL a flash saving program (such as DirectFlashDown, FlashSaver, Flash2x Hunter, etc) and it will simplify this process for you. I am sure you can dig one up out there that is mac compatible.
