question about wifi settings in public...

i dont kno why my wifi isn't working...tried different places...
starbucks, mcdonald...(they have the sign "Free wireless internet")

i tried the following setting, someone mentioned this before...
SSID: ANY
wep: none
infrastructure
ip: auto
dns: auto
pwr save: disabled

is there any other settings i can try??? please help...
i have no way to try it at home, since i dont have wireless router..

that should work, unless they have their own settings for it.

Yes, those are general generic settings. You may need to do more or put the settings in manually. Best bet is to ask the proprietor for setting suggestions.
