Hi
Two questions:
I am using PalmOS5 (TG50) and have Bluetooth and IRDA. So, every app I saw since I have a Palm uses the standard "Beam" function to send files via Bluetooth or IRDA. This bugs me, because I don't like that popup and would like to see how much of the file is already sent (something like a statusbar). So, does PalmOS allow the apps to send files without using that "beam" function? Is there any app which can show me that my TG can use its Bluetooth without beam?

Do you know any app which can show me all the bluetooth devices in my surrounding without having have to send a file or so? The best would be if it alarmed me when a BT device is in the near :)

Thanks

Well, there is a Bluetooth finder called Discovery. It can be found online at Palmsource's in the Bluetooth Sample section. The product is pretty useful on my T3...

If you go to your TG50 BT setup, you can have it look for all discoverable devices in range.

Well, I did it like TankerBob described for a long time. However, Discovery is a 10k freeware app that sits directly in the launcher-less effort involved for me.
By the way, I cannot attach the program to my post. So, I will feature it on TamsPalm today...

Wow, Discovery is a REALLY great program, it is so much faster than the normal PalmOS "find devices" function! Now, it would be great if there were a program which can send files via bluetooth and shows how much % is already sent or something like that. Thank you anyway, I'll use that program!
