Hi guys and gals: I currently have the NX70 and I am trying out the new TG50. I love my NX70 but I am tired of the size. I love the TG50 and the size (flap cover is iiritating because you cant fold it over to the other side, taking it off is a pain too). The TG50 has a cool keyboard and the light is neat, I also have compared to two screens and the TG50 is alot brighter but its alot smaller. Well anyway I am torn between which one to keep, I can't keep them both - I also thought about getting the Ipaq 1910 because it has the brightest screen and is very small (I like small in a PDA) but of course its PPC. I am used to Palm OS. So I am torn between the two. The new TG50 is very nice and small and the casing is very wel made, I just love it because its small and easy to carry. So please give me some advice - I need to either sell my NX70 or take the TG50 back to Best Buy.
Thanks!;)

It's agonizing to choose isn't it? I wimped out deciding between the nx and nz, and I kept them both. Then the TG comes out, and I went outt and bought one last night. But I also bought a 3mp camera with it, so I think I will either return my nx, or give it to my sister, so it that it does not stray too far from me :)
As for you, since you are posting on an NX board, you may not get much support, but I would opt for the size of the TG, and get a little cam to go with it if you are going to miss that.
BT is really cool, I love surfing and SMS'ing and CLIE Mailing....
I like the size of the TG because I feel like my co-workers all notice the flip action of the nx, it's not too discreet. (And I don't like that they can see my screen) On the other hand, the nx is a tremendous machine, and having the screen sit up at you is very convenient at other times.

Personally... I think I have reached a point where I could never give up the camera that's in my NX. I take so many pictures and movies with it every day... I'm addicted. I know that many say you can pick up a cheap digital camera for the price difference, but for me the advantage is that I ALWAYS have my NX with me. I have a digital camera, and I don't take it anywhere. You can't take the same type of covert pics either.
I held my friend's T615 the other day (my first Sony) and I couldn't believe how small it was. I had forgotten how small the T series was. That is a tough choice indeed. Perosonally... I think so far I can spare the pocket space and keep my camera. :D

This may not be politically correct, but.....
If you are a male, the the NX70 is a bit bulky. It's right on the edge of being practical for a shirt pocket.
If you are a female, where are you carrying it? If it's in a backpack or purse, then does it really matter?
I use the NX70 in fullscreen mode most of the time. I have a very busy business schedule, so being able to see an entire day at a glance is valuable. I don't think I could go back to the small screen that I used to have on my N710.

I could never go back to 320/320 after my NX-60.

It's a practical question. I usually put my nx in a purse or a jacket pocket. I find the size is a bit large, but nothing too horrible.

i have just upgraded from the T615 to the NX70v (for a net total of only $100) and couldn't be happier. the size doesn't bother me, it fits in all of my shorts and pants pockets just fine. i'm a student, so i would imagine my clothes are a bit losser than the business people here-- i loved the size of the T-series, even the TG50, but now that i've experienced fullscreen document and (especially) fullscreen video and photo alubm, i can never go back. the skins, coupled with a Launcher like zLauncher or YiShow are truly astonishing.
before i saw the NX70v for $300 at BestBuy (open item) i was planning on getting the TG50... in my unbiased opinion, the NX's keyboard is actually easier to type on (for me at least, it varies *very* much person to person) than the TG50 or NZ models.
though i love the camera, if a BlueTooth enabled, TG-series with Hi-Res+ model came out, I would be hard pressed to resist it.

I was thinking seriously of moving to the TG50. I was like you (the original poster) in that I loved the form factor, plus it still provided screen protection. I really like the keyboard after using it for 9 months, so that was a pro for me on the TG. I really would have missed the high-res+ screen and the camera on the NX if I had switched, but the deciding factor for me was the status bar. It's so handy for launching apps, turning the sound off in a hurry, and checking the time.

yeah its still sitting on my desk hooked up to my other computer - still indecisive - I like the flap that covers it but I wish it went al the way back and to get back to home you have to push the button all the time - I find this somewhat irritating. Other than that I love it!

The TG50's screen is to small. i don't like its screen. it doesn't have graffiti either. I know it has the keyboard, but so does the NX. it has bluetooth. that is nice. (if you have a t68 cell phone) i love the screen on the NX. I see no reason to switch to a TG50. Personal prefernce though. I guess if u would rather have a small PDA though, go ahead with the TG50.
