Okay, this is going to soundlike a newbie question...
Ihave never set up a dual hard drive system, and I just got my hands on a 40 gb hard drive for $20...I want to put it in my computer (Hp Pavillion/AMD AThlon 850 mhz/320megs ram/ 30 gig) But I want to transfer all the stuff from the 30 gig to the 40, and use the 30 as a slave drive, but my questiom is this, how can I set it up to do that? Can I Set up the 40 gig as a slaveto moive everything over and then set it as a master? Or what can I do...Some advice would help me out a buuuunch!

which boots and is used as your OS primary drive is related to a CMOS boot drive setting. You can change the old drive to slave, and the new one to master, still set CMOS to boot the 30gig, or use a dos utility to copy the drives. :) You can download a utility from the drive manufacturer to boot a floppy and copy the drives. :)
