For those who care, or even for those who don't care. :p

It's been around for a while, but I never heard of it until now. It's been getting really good reviews, the author hated how none of the Linux distributions worked as one would expect an OS to work (MacOS, Windows), things as simple as dropping in a CD or DVD required effort to get it to play, etc. Some of these required tools that you have download and install as a person. Reviews are calling this the "people's Linux" because it is designed more as a commercial appearance and operation, ease of use, very end user oriented rather than developer/hacker oriented. :)

It seems to be a superset of debian Linux. enjoy, or not. I need coffee... ;) :)

Looks interesting, and quite advanced for Linux. I'm still a BSD guy, myself.

I had Linux 2.4/2.6 Slackware 9 on my machine.
After installing Dropline, my altgr key suddenly stopped working because some config path was changed. this was the end of my Linux experience-I canot accept such an OS...
Just my 2 cents

SuSE is all one needs in a Linux distribution. It is as easy or easier to do all the things you would want to do on Windows. Let alone the gain in functionality and speed. I use it as my desktop OS (on it now). I recommend it.

No, SuSE is its own mostly unique distro, it is easy for Windows users to pick up. It is far better than Ubuntu, and is in fact (arguably) the best distro. (As I mentioned, the guy who makes Linux uses it.)
All you have to do is download a 3GB DVD ISO (or a couple of other ways; if you are in Australia buy the latest APC) and presto: awesome desktop linux multi-bootable with Winblows at your beck and call. I love the way it comes with virtually all software you need; software that is necessary to "add on" to Winblows (document editor, pdf viewer, tabbed browser, decent PIM program, etc.)
