I edit my own so I can use it with strange orientations, like 320 width by 480 height.

Where are you changing the file name from? Did you change the registry? Or did you rename the file. If you want to change .VOB (what is this type of file) to .MPG, you probably need to search Google for a conversion softwaree.

VOB files are what you get when you directly rip files from a DVD.

Oh ok. So mastershake what did you do? That way others will know. I have trouble myself ripping videos from my DVD to my UX.
Thanks.

Well i folllowed the guide exactly from cliepet's guide on second day movies in the VZ section.
To install the registry for 480x320 viewing at 20fps, copy the text from the code he gives you into notepad. The save it in the image converter2 folder as the file name he gives you. And save it as a unicode file. Exit notepad, and go to the image converter2 folder. Now double click the registry file that you saved before, click yes when the box appears, click yes again, and you are done. ****If image converter is open, make sure to close it, and restart it to put the updated registry into effect.
For the video, i followed the exact instructions as he gave, and used DVD Decrypter. If you try to rename the files, and get the same problem i had, you need to do a little step. When you are in My Computer, go to the top and click Tools, then Folder Options, Then click the tab View, Make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked, if not, unckeck it. Click apply, and go back to the folder where the VOB's were, now try renaming them to .MPG at the end, and it should work. A window might come up that says they might be unusable, but just click ok. Now, just drag and drop them into Image Converter, and follow the rest of Cliepet's instructions.
That's it!

Edit: some spelling errors :)

Update: Well whenever i try to drag the renamed VOB's into IC2, it freezes up. I guess the files really are unusable? hahah I am going to PM cliepet to see what he says. HAs anyone's files worked?

It doesn't work all the time, and may not work on your machine depending on which video decoder handles MPEG2 (VOB). When it does work it is a great time saver. When it doesn't you can always use the TMPGENC or similar extra transcode step.
