I was wondering what resolution most of you peeps were using on your computers?

And if given a choice, do you waffles ever choose full screen on a website?

i am the ownage, SuSE linux (works great with teh_clie without additional programs) with 1920x1200. It pws. IT PWNS!!! (see purepwnage.com to understand)
but yeah i have two monitors _both_ on 1920.. one has msn, amaroK (music player), email, openoffice.org etc. on it; the main is mainly for webbrowsing and VMware.
In terms of webbrowsing, at resolutions like this you don't need fullscreen; however, I can stomach it with Konqueror as all the tabs are visible. It would be impossible with separate instances (IE, anyone?) though.

1280x1024 on a 17inch monitor due to PODS. The machine runs windows 2000 SP4!
I rarely use Fullscreen mode in my Firefox though. Never quite saw the advantage..

I gave my preferred resolution... work is 1920x1200. Home is only 1280x1024 because of monitor size... but someday I will catch up. :)

Laptop im on now is 768 by 1024, but my downstairs computer is 1280 by 1024, and my dads laptop is 1200 by 1600, so were all around the board. Now I just need one of those Sony A series laptops. You know which one im talking about.

I usually use 800x600 or 1280x1024 depending on what I am doing.

Either 1920x1080, 1024x768, or 1600x1200. Depends on what computer I'm using.

Exactly!!!:):):):)

Im not in any hurry to up my posts, so ill answer the question thats in the next post in an edit here. I use all LCDs, since you really get the advertised screen size (kinda like how in the TH-55 you actually get the advertised internal memory).

ArRrrgHhH, too many of you peeps are still at 1024 and even a few somtimes at 800x600s  :D Freak, that means I'm going ot need to adjust the size of a few things.

I forgot to ask if you peeps were mostly on CRTs or LCDs now days? Most answers are self explanatory though.

Have you seen that commercial, its Dell or Gateway, I think, where the whole office has the outdated computer equipment? The tech guy gives one of the people a laptop with a CRT. Its not color though, so I dont know if id go for it.

get a larger monitor and use monitor scaling. :) I run 125% at 1920x1200 24" :)

My laptop runs at 1280x854, wish it was more. At home I have a 23" monitor at 1920x1200, which is primarily for my desktop PC. It's on a KVM switch so I can use it with my laptop when necessary (for Photoshop and the like).

Thats low for both of those screen sizes.

I like my eyesight. ;)

The max available at work is 1280 X 1024. I'll have to check at home, but I'm sure it's higher. I'm on the list for a 19" monitor at work, and then I'll increase resolution.

When I ran the CADD department here 15 years ago (when some of you peeps were still in knickers) we were at 1280 X 1024 21" on dual monitor systems. Anyone hear of Artist Graphics?

The typical PC was just getting into VGA 6450 X 480.

The max available at work is 1280 X 1024.

That is why I run large fonts on higher density pixels. I run native at work 1920x1200 but scale the display. same as having lower resolution, but clearer, more detailed screen objects. :) easier on the eyes.

know where I could score one of those panorama monitors... that would be great for a 360 degree landscape. :) gorgeous by crikey! :)

I've been working on 20"+ screens daily since 95.

I would be interested in seeing a screen that can display 6450 X 480. :D

Are most of you peeps switching to LCDs at work? I'm assuming that 19" is one?
