I hope someone can help, I'm looking for a way to convert docs to PDB for palm reader. I have about 200 docs in docstogo and i'd like to convert some to PDB but don't know how. Does anyone know how?
Thanks

Thanks Docs to go may convert files to palm DOC format (select save as...).
And for your second question, I've seen what you are looking for on www.freewarepalm.com (there are also some file converters there)

JUUUUuuuuuuuusssst out of curiosity, why do you want to convert your MS Documents to PDB format? If you're using version 6 or higher on Documents To Go, you can actually read them natively on the handheld.
Here is how I work them. I keep mine in MS Doc format, load them onto the Memory Card (SD variety). Once in, I start up DocToGo main application, which sees all of the different formats. Then, if I desire to keep one of those documents on the palm itself, in main memory, I just select and hold, and move to main memory.
too easy. Does this help with giving you an option?

LauncherX has a gadget that turns off the device:

This is a fantastic program launcher. Smaller than most and rock solid stable.
You might also search for freeware:

Oh yeah, ... Turning it off with a SOFT button. Yes, Launcher X does have that. As do the most others, including AppShelf and ZLauncher. Load them each, and preview them. A Launching application is definitely a suit to taste.
If you switch between being super-techno and super simplistic, go with ZLauncher. Launcher X simply put is ... simple. AppShelf is the median between them. They are all super stable and well done applications. So as it is, which you go with will depend on your tastes and your financial priorities.

I want to convert some docs to PDB to save on errors on DocsToGo, I keep over 200 docs on there and get quite alot of errors when closing/opening docs, so I have to soft reset, then not all my documents show up when I go back into docstogo, when I click scan for files it takes ages (I usually get bored and give up after half an hour) to find my docs. So I figured if I had the most important ones in PDB format, I could put them in Palm Reader and save the hassle of having to wait so long for it to search for files in DocsTo Go.

I have a program on my PC called docreader, which can be found here:
http://mpickering.homeip.net/phpwiki/index.php/DocReader, that will allow you to opne any TXT file and save it as a palm reader compatible PDB file. This is good if your documents don't have a lot of text formatting to deal with. It will also conver PDB back to TXT. For word documents and HTML documents, I have used Aportis Doc converter with some measure of success, but that comapny is now out of business. If you can find their product on the web somewhere, that might help you out. Hope this helps some.

thanks :) docreader is exactly the type of thing I was looking for. I can't for the life of me find Aportis, i'll keep looking though. Again, thank you.
