This forum (and the links to other sites) have been a great help in bringing me up to speed on how to convert images for use on my clie nx70.
However, the one thing that I have not been able to sort out is what to expect in terms of the file sizes of converted video.
For example, I would like to start transferring episodes of Star Trek TOS to my Clie. I started with an 89 MB avi file, which I converted to an MPG using TMPGEnc. The converted file size was then over 440 MB. I tried then convert the file for use on the clie with Kinoma Producer and ended up with a file size of 175 MB. Obviously too big for the 128 MB Memory Stick.
I have tried playing with the frame rate, resolution etc, but cannot seem to get it into the 128 MB range.
Now the questions:
1. If I start with an 89 MB file, is there any way that I can finish with a Clie compatible file that is close to that size and still be of decent viewing quality?
2. Will a one hour (absent commercials) TV show fit on a 128 MB card.
3. If yes to No. 1 andor No. 2 does anyone have any tips to help manage file sizes.
TIA
