I use a Collins dictionary for my translations which I recall being distributed by TomTom. I have it since my PalmVx and now I use it on my NX.
The problem (which I don't understand) is that the rendering of the font is awful! it's like looking at a grained, blown up, bitmap font.
Anyone with a solution?
thx in advance
L.

Yes: FontHackV's custom font substitution. Unfortunately, you need to guess the font ID that is used by the program. This is a trial-and-error process, where you go through font IDs from 128 to 255.

Thank you Alex for the tip.
I will definitely give it a try and let you know the right ID if I find it.
AFAYK, how does FontHackV compare with Fonts4OS5? I tried with this one but it didn't work.
Furthermore, do you think that changing a "bit" in collins .prc would instruct the program in using the correct font?
thanks again
L.
I looked at the .prc and I coudn't find any nfnt/NFNT font resources.
Can this be the case?
Furthermore, if you open Collins with bulky fonts and touch any word with the stylus, the words suddently switches to high-resolution font (which is fine). Unfortunately the change happens only to the words you touch.
Maybe it's easier to transcode collins dictionary DB into a different format (e.g. SlovoEd). Any tool can do that?
