when did t665's come out?

I mean, the thing is pretty fancy looking, stands up to most modern standards, hires, mp3, and all. But I never wondered, when was it released? It's already off the pipeline, but still looks like a very competitive product. Whenever it came out, it probably seemed quite impressive.
Any clues?

It came out in the US around July, earlier in Japan.
Not sure when it came to Canada.

well, it don't really matter where it came out :)
summer 2002 is not long ago at all, though. surprising that sony stopped manufacturing already. is that a usual practice for corporations to set a lifetime of it's competetive product less than a year?

Sony changes the handheld models quite quickly and most models are only sold 6-9 months it seems. This isn't true for all handhelds. Palm seems to keep handhelds in the market for at least a year or more. Handera, well, they haven't released a new model in years :eek: .
