I have image converter 2.1 English edition for anybody who has psp or clie and they need or want it.

I currently use (and LOVE) Image Converter 1.5

How is this better/different? Will this work with my TH55?

BTW...are we ever gonna meet so I can get that CD full of MQV's (In Living Color, etc.) from ya? :D :cool:

U are a part of grouper if I am not mistaken. I will take it from my backup cd and put it back on my computer if u want and u can download it from there. Just till me when I have limited space on my hard drive. so I try to keep up to date movies on it so I can easliy transfer them to my ux50. Dont know how well it works have not tryed it yet, I am just getting all of the stuff I need for my psp now so when I recieve it on March 23 (eb games midnightmaddness comes out a day earlyer).

Good one. I happen to live over near Cerberus, who has like all of the Cds. So if I needed it, I could get any CD, ha ha ha. Not that id need a CD, all my devices are new, so I have all of the CDs. Either way, he has got alot of CDs

This image converter seams to be faster than the others, and more tolerant to the movies it converts

I dont think so I think the codecs needed wont copy to the nz only the ux and th series clies. If I am right.

I dont really know but I dont think so, u would have to ask cliepet or one of the experts. go to the vz forum and look under vz movie day 2( i think that is what it is) and there is a link in there to cliepets website where he has a graph that shows what clies can and cannot use it. I do think u can create regular mqv files like ic1.5 u could just use that, and it would be faster that 1.5

No the codecs run on the DSP thats in the VZ, the UX, and the TH, but none of the others have the appropriate hardware.

I downloaded to IC 2, but I'm not able to read the transferred files in the Sony player or in Kinoma. What am I missing?

the vz codecs, use the search ... assuming you are using a ux or th series, otherwise ...

Hi dear Clie lovers,

Did anyone found a workaround to install IC1.5 or IC2.1 on Win XP Pro SP2 ?
I have a pre-installed XP Pro SP2 shipped by Sony (Vaio laptop) and the only version I can install is 1.1 from the original CLie CDROM !

I mean without having to uninstall SP2 :)

Any idea ?

Yes, uninstalled IC1.1, uninstalled Mastroska codec pack. Tried in several ways, several times, but always the same result : "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate....".

What a shame.....I already knew Sony was not good at software development, but this is a joke !

Dont delete 1.1 keep it and then upgrade it to 1.5 and then install 2.1. You have to uninstall 2.0 if u want 2.1 .

I would love to do so, but Installshield won't let me install 1.5 unless 1.1 is uninstalled.

Same for 1.5 to 2.0 : the installshield won't continue as long as it finds an install of IC x.x

Thanks. Just curious, was the version of 2.1 you found an English version? I ask 'cos I really have no patience for wading through menu after menu in Japanese. ;) And there's no way in hell Sony is gonna get another $20 from me...when IC 1.5 works beautifully for me. It consistently is able to convert just about anything I throw at it, and movies & video clips come out looking great as ever.

So..I guess what I'm trying to say is there really is no reason for me to move up to IC 2.1 (trying to install the codecs TOTALLY WRECKED my TH55). :D

I wish I could answer this question : 2.1 won't start at all. However, some bits on the install shield dialogs seems to be in japanese.

Also wish I could simply install IC1.5. It's driving me crazy... ANd what for ? What will I do with this bl**dy Image converter ? Convert some movies and watch them with a battery draining from 100% to 50% in 20min ?

also, what's the difference between the MQV files and the MP4 files you guys keep talking about? i know that the MQV files already use MP4 compression, but size wise, there's no difference. anybody care to explain the difference to an AVI/MPEG-expert-but-dumb@ss-to-other-video-files-types?

Did u use the download from this thread. Because I am using this 2.1 and it is in English all menus everything. I had no problem upgraded to 1.5 and then 2.0 and then 2.1

I downloaded the IC2. Unfortunately my computer cant recognize the file so i have to rename it to EXE. But i cant seem to run it. ANy views on this one? Or i have to re download it again. It said to uninstall my 1.1 so i deleted it...but it wont install the IC2

This is the dialog where you should enter a licence key. I got the same (IC2.1) installshield Japanese/English.

At the end of the installation, everything looks fine. But when I start IC2.1, application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005).

Have you got the same ?
