Clie Mail question.

I already made an account on hotpop.com which provides free pop3 email. I have gotten all of the settings so I am ready to go.

I need a way to get that email onto my NX.

What I have tried so far-->

1. I have gone to outlook and put in the settings to sync to outlook. It syncs to outlook. I then put the mail application on the custom in the hotsync manager to sync the files to outlook. It still didn't go on.

2. I have tried to make a new account in the clie mail application and just hostsync with that.


Will someone PLEASE take the time to write a step by step guide or just give me tips. I would like a guide because this is very important to me.

First...when hot syncing... Have you set up your hotsync manager to sync with outlook/outlook express? Right click your hotsync manager link in the lower right and choose custom. Scroll through until you see Clie Mail, when you  find it highlite it and  click the change button on the right. Make sure it says sync the files  and on the bottom make sure it has your email app. listed (outlook/ express/ eudora).

 Do you have WiFi?

Also, in the Hotsync Manager custom dialog, make sure after you set it to syncronize files, click the 'Set as Default' box.

O. so I set it up on my outlook folder to sync with my hotpop. How do I start the mail setup wizard since I havent started it yet?

Maybe my short term (4 months since I got my clie) memory is failing...but I don't remember using a mail wizard. I think that is all I did to setup my mail.

It still wont work. It just wont connect. I make an account on outlook and set it up. It works on outlook. I tell CLie Mail to sync with outlook (the profile field is just blank) and then I try to sync. It just wont connect or anything.

So, in the Custom box in the Hotsync Manager does it read

Conduit.......................Action
Clie Mail..................Synchronize the files
?

And, do you have the Clie Mail app in the RAM of your Clie?

Hey, I cant sync with Hotmail! Why? I remember i sync'd once the first time i got it but now i cant?

I have soft/hard reset my system.
I have uninstalled and installed the program.
I have checked my email/password/server settings and all is fine.

What should I do?

Just to let you guys know that it has workednow. It womt work when I am syncng through USB, but when I am connected through an AP, i can click on send and recieve, and it works perfectly.
