View Full Version : Lost my installation CD for TH55

I have lost the installation CD for my TH55 and need it for a new computer. I could live without the Clie Organiser but is there anywhere from where I could download the Palm Desktop of the correct build to run TH55 for free? Not with Sony I discovered - they want $30 for a replacement CD. I think the version is 4.1. Incidently I do have the French CD but it is not HotSyncing (it would be fine as I know a little French) - should it Hotsync or is there a problem?

Would this really be possible - it seems awful big to email - and are the files really that big - wow! My email is trevorthompson@btinternet.com. With Handspring you could just download it off the web and with Palm I notice. If you can help it would be wondereful but don't put yourself out over it,

I could just pop my CD in the CD drive and either setup an FTP site linked to my CD drive, or setup AOL Instant Messenger File Share linked to my CD drive.... ie, when you goto my name on the buddy list, right click and goto "get file." e-mail me at bgotsens@verizon.net if you still need it

Just to complete this loop - Danny sent me burnt CD and it installed and all is now back to normal. It gave a message "cannot open address book" but the fix for that is to remain address book on the main computer - then fine.

I tried the NigeCube suggestion (thanx 'cubes) and it installed but when running it off the desktop it wanted me to insert the CD and install a file called something.sys - which I couldn't do of course - but yes probably could be made to work with more effort/knowledge. CD also very nice if in future wish to sell.
