Unlocked Cingular 650

Is anybody out there working on unlocking these Cingular branded 650's?? I want to get one, but I really don't think the $700 price tag for the unlocked version is really justified. I travel internationally and I have local sim cards to wherever I go so I need this 650 unlocked.

well, shadowmite was able to get part of the unlocking done but the SIM card wasn't still recognized from T-Mobile. So the way you have to get it done was by calling Cingular and get a code for your phone to have unlocked. They might required you have had a cingular contract/phone for more than 90 days (3 months). But some were able to get the code either way. A good 'reason' is that you are going out of the country and would like to use the phone w/ their network.
