Palm OS6

When should Palm OS 6 be out? hhow will it be different from plam os5?

M seriuosly considering changing my T615, but dont know if the upgrade is worthed. I would liek to make use of internet capabilities, but even on the Palm Simulator, they are quite limited.

OS6 is supposed to have many changes to the built in apps, and more features with better use of the ARMlets. Other than that it is supposed to go master by fall (good luck) if it does nov/dec 03 if not figure march 04.

nice thing about OS6 is that all apps written for OS5 are supposed to be compatible with OS6.

The emulation is getting far to complicated! One layer for OS2 to 4, one for Clié libraries, one for Tungsten libraries, one for Armlets, and a few dozens of libraries most of us don't even know about.

i guess with all the complexities and making it backwards compatible...many of the newer files will be larger too huh?...

isn't it supposed to be made using BeOS? I think that this was a major step for palm..

"Supposed" being the keyword here. Who knows, but unless it is really a revolutionary change I'll stick with my TG50 until it dies or something that is better that I absolutely must have.
