IR Sync with SJ33?

I have a palm IIxe and was thinking of upgrading to the SJ33. Love the screen! My question is that I think I had read something to the effect that the SJ33 can't sync with my laptop via IR. Is this true?

I have 2 pcs' and like to sync with them both. Losing the IR sync would be bad..

yeah i would like to know this too.... been trying to ir sync my clie and can't seem to work.. could somebody offer some advice about this?

I have sync'ed via IR with my new 33, but the USB is so much faster! Be sure that serial is checked on the HotSync Mgr menu and that it's set for the correct COM port (4 on my Dell Insp 4000). Set the COM port by using the "setup" option on the HotSync Mgr menu. You may have to enable IR thru the BIOS if you haven't already.

I sync with a Dell Inspiron 5000e and an SJ33 via IR.
