So what is everyone's take on a Brand New model NX70 Vs. a Refurbished one? I ask because I can get the NX70 refurb for like $459.99 which is awsome and easier to afford vs. $600. But would I be better off getting a brand new one? Would is last longer?

I have friends who have bought refurbished items and they say they are better because all problems with the product have been fixed and they have givin it a good going over before re-selling it.

So what do you guys think New or Refurbished?

Thanks for your input. -MD

Think of it this way ...

A refurb has left the factory, been used, found at fault/returned, repaired (if broken), FULLY TESTED, reboxed, then resold. Comes with limited warrantee.

A new unit, has had automated testing, but may not work out of the box. Full warrantee.

Functionally, and cosmetically, they are the same. Big diff is the $$$ and the warrantee.

Your call - they should both give you years of service.

*** Important ***

Buy refurbs only from Sony! I can't emphasize it enough to get it straight from the factory

I have never had a problem with overstock.com, even with a return... don't they have refurb NX70's with EVERYTHING included *make SURE you KNOW what the unit comes with*
