Has anyone removed the screen (glass and/or LCD) from a T615C? My old T615C had a screwy CPU with an excellent screen, and I just bought one with a cracked screen and working CPU. I figured I could merge them both into a working PDA for my wife.

I have the one with the cracked screen taken apart to the point I have the Main Board, Screen and Battery all in one unit, and am trying to figure out how to best remove the screen. It appears to be held in place by some metal braces, which in turn lock into the Main Board.

I had to stop working on it, because my kids were climbing on me and I really don't want to screw anything up, so if anyone has done this before and has any tips or pointers, please let me know.

Thanks

it is best to keep the digitizer and the lcd with the metal frame that they are attached to. just swap out the motherboard.

FYI
they are held inplace with an adhesive like sticky tape. If you must you can heat up the unit and slowly and very gently pry the pieces appart. I would not recomend this.

I have already done the swap. I did keep the lcd/digitizer together. I did put it back together, but I still need to make sure the big ribbon cable in the back is connected properly, it was difficult, and when I hit the power button, the light comes on, the PDA beeps when I tap on the screen, but all that displays is a wavy pattern. Hopefully in the next day or two I will get it working.

Thanks for your reply.
