I remember those days =D

V11 is the newest but v10 has free MP3 License.

DMC v10 (http://soft.li.ru/dBpowerAMP_Music_Converter_Release_v10_1-752-2/)

Click the http://soft.li.ru/i/download.jpg to download.

EDIT: Use Constant Bitrate. Bitrate is from 32kbps to 320kbps only.

Also, the download is in English although the website is not.

Check if the MP3 is a variable bit rate MP3? (VBR).

I can't remember the exact error message AudioPlayer gives when you try to play a VBR MP3, but IIRC, it was not very intuitive.

I've had this problem before with MP3s that should work the the UX. That was because AudioPlayer did not seem to update the list of MP3s it had. Ie, it still tried to play an MP3 that I had deleted. Though, I'm not sure what happened to fix this.

The other thing (probably not likely for you, since your location is Sweden) would be if you're using CJKOS, and those MP3s are named in Chinese Japanese or Korean names. AudioPlayer doesn't seem to handle these anymore if you have CJKOS enabled. (At least in my experience..)

Edit
Hit the post button too late. :p haha. If it is the VBR problem, follow JAmerican's link for a program to help :)

any other way to solve this problem other than having to convert the mp3's?

is it true that media launcher, gives the most battery life when listening to Mp3 vs other mp3 players around for palm? how does it stack up to the built in app?

The actual MP3s that do not work are Variable Bit Rate (VBR) and Media Launcher, which is based on the built-in Media Databases that came with the UX and the DSP built-into the UX, can only read Constant Bit Rate (CBR) between 32kbps and 320kbps. Variable Bit Rate alternates between bitrates which Media Launcher cannot handle. Pocket Tunes (referring to your deleted thread) can read VBR but it takes more power in doing so and as you can see it makes your MS indicator blink constantly. There is no other way but to do use Pocket Tunes, which will shorten your battery life quicker or convert to CBR.
