I have no problem sending email thru the Yahoo pop, but when I attach an attachment, I get an error saying that it didn't go through. The weird part is that about 75% of the time, it does go thru, even though it says the send had failed. Are there any solutions and is there a better provider than Yahoo to be able to send attachments or is there a better mail program for the T5?
Thanks.

I use VersaMail 2.7 on my T3 and do attachments through my hosting company without problems. I only use my Yahoo account as a throwaway spam sacrifice. There are a lot of good email hosting companies out there. I use myhosting.com, but godaddy.com is also good. Both are inexpensive.

Thanks for the advice. I've never used a hosting company. Can you tell me how the email part works and is it fast? The reason I ask, is that the attachments I need to send are converted by an internet faxing company and forwarded on to my home office. They need to arrive as quickly as possible, within 3 to 4 minutes if possible. Does the hosting company hold onto the email for a while before passing it on or are they pass thru. I am trying to get away from hauling around a laptop for this purpose.

Godaddy.com has 1 address with 25 MB of storage for $9.95/month with personalization at https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/email.asp?se=%2B&ci=269 , myhosting.com has a $2.95/month email plan with 5 addresses and 200 MB disk space with $9.95/month domain name registration at http://myhosting.com/HostingPlans/emailhosting.asp . If you can get a GMail account at Google, it is free with 1 GB of storage and has POP support. That's probably your best bet if you can get an invitation. However, read on before doing anything rash.

There are lots more out there, but these are the ones with which I'm familiar. Autoforwarding to your home office should be instant upon arrival at the POP mailbox.

However, Yahoo mail with POP support should handle attachments. Have you checked your settings at Yahoo to ensure they are set properly to handle attachments? If these are fax attachments, then they are probably TIFF files. Yahoo Plus handles 20 MB attachments, so this definitely looks like a setup problem.

What I get on Versamail, is a statement that it has failed and would I like Versamail to keep trying in the background. What actually occurs, is that the email has gone through about 90% of the time. It's a pass through email to a fax service. The attachment is an Excel document. I know it goes through, since I am testing to my home fax. When Versamail says it fails, I can't deal with the uncertainty. Without an attachment, it always goes through. I've played with settings on my T5 with no result, unless there are hidden settings I'm unaware of. I've only had this model for 5 days.

Ah, so this is really a VersaMail issue, not a host email problem. I'll have to poke around a bit on that, but your firewall or antivirus software could also be blocking the attachments as well.
