Was just about ready to get the 90 until I heard that Sony and Palm will be bringing out their version of the "Pocket PC". Has anyone heard this one?

Palm is gonna release a Pocket PC?!!!
and pigs fly...
Some speculation for Sony with the WL-110 (rather than Wl-100)wireless card purportedly with PPC drivers... Where pray tell, are we reading these rumours?
Only mention I could find>http://www.brighthand.com/article/BrightBytes_Mar_21

would seem kinda 'counter-productive' and against PALM Philosophies(sp??) to introduce a PPC Device. That would be similar to Windows creating a MAC Operating system. ..... Strange Indeed......
I could see... a 'different' interface again... which has the look/feel of a PPC Device... but would assume that PALM would still product PALM OS Devices.
Sony, on the other hand, could produce a PPC Device. They aren't PALM. They might sell both PPC & PALM OS Devices to grab as much marketshare of HandHeld Devices as possible. Like a Car Dealer selling every Make of car. When one is hot, they still make $$$ .

If you look at the clie's history, Sony has released word of a new unit almost every 4-6 mos. So, that means if you haven't plunked down $$ yet for a clie, I woudl wait 30 days at least and see what happens.

First of all, Sony has stated that they would buy the Palm OS if it was ever for sale, not Pocket PC. Second, why would Palm turn on their own OS and use Pocket PC? It just doesn't make sense.
