Hi,

should any (movie) file that had been successfully processed by Image Converter 1.1 be playable on a Clie NZ?

I keep trying to convert a large QT movie (126 minutes) and even the split off 6 minute part would get stuck showing the first frame (the file is 19 MB big). I tried playing it from a CF card, from MS, with the regular Movie viewer, the CF-ready patched version and with Cliepet's Full Movie Player. I even tried it with the lowest possible conversion settings - no soap.

Am I missing something? Is there perhaps a size limit, should I create smaller chunks?

Any input is highly appreciated.

IC 1.1 doesn't support compressed audio track. I think the QT video you converted has compressed audio track.

You can decompress the audio to PCM by using QT Pro or why don't you use IC 1.5?

That was quick, thanks Jackho!

So, IC 1.1 converts it without complaints but doesn't touch the audio? That's not nice.

I thought IC 1.5 wouldn't produce stuff that ran on my NZ 90, that's why I use 1.1 (together with the registry settings editor). Is this assumption wrong?

Replying to my own post:

I worked it out, I was missing the Movie Player Update on my Clié. Now I can also use Image Converter 1.5. I also succesfully experimented with UnLoGiC Movie Converter and MMplayer, put I haven't found the best encoding settings for my NZ90 yet.

As all of his wonderful applications, I also like Cliepet's Full Movie Player. The only problem remaining with this is that I cannot exit from playing a movie. The application just freezes and I have to do a soft reset.
