When i use the camera to take pictures, somehow the picture was not as colorful as other images. Why is this so? How do i captured better pictures and when i transfer it to my desktop, the image seems to be distorted.Pls advice.

um, check the settings, outdoor or indoor makes a diff. Also, you need good lighting.

If you mean the images that came on the Clie, that's expected. This isn't the best camera with the best CCD. Those pictures were not taken on an NX camera. They were probably taken with a professional grade camera, using filters and such to intensify the image. You could probably try to improve the picture quality using Photoshop of Paintshop pro.
In order to get the pictures to the desktop, place the Clie onto your cradle, start the program on the Clie called MS Import, and click on Connect if it doesn't connect automatically. This means you will need a memory stick.
The memory stick will then appear as a new drive under My Computer (assuming you're on a PC). The pictures will be stored ina directory called "DCIM"
Good luck

You can play around with the camera settings a bit to improve color saturation.
The other gents are correct in that it's a compilation of things.

Crappy camera? I think the thing rocks for the money. This is one of the pictures i took. The room only has two flourescent long bulb in it too (it's a dorm room, what can you do?). Took it in 640x480 and used Photo Impact to resize it to 320x240 and changed the brightness only slightly.

Naa,
what do you mean? I took a picture nearly against the sun on the beach- well it rocks!!
The onbly thing I have to admit is that the coulours are not that realistic as they should. I need to set up a colourmanagement for that.
Your pictures are distorted?? in what way? Maybe you have shaky hands?? (don't take it personally) Plz specify: distorted.
Tek,
What setting do you have? I haven't been able to catch a picture like that. All my picture looks blury.

shakiness makes them blurry, or low light

I would imagine that people's expectations in photos vary depending on their level of photographic expertise.
