I went to compusa today to look at the TG50. When I tried loading an mp3 off my memory stick, it would not allow the volume to go beyond 50% and the volume output of the speaker was very low. Granted, it was higher than the NR speaker, but still lower than that of my roommate's Tungsten.

Is there a reason the audio player application would not let me further increase the volume on the volume bar? I keep pressing + and nothing happens...

For those of you able to turn the speaker volume all the way up, how loud does it sound for movies and for mp3 playback? (without headphones - audio output directly from speaker on the back)

Also another question I had was, if i'm used to connecting to the net view a data cable with my verizon phone to the NR70v, can I simply use the same cable for the TG?

Thanks, the TG50 is an awesome unit! The wavy lines appear way more pronounced than I had expected/hoped for, even more pronounced than the wavy lines on my NR70v. but the unit is very nice nonetheless, fast, zippy, piscel viewer included, bright screen, solid construction.

Also I noticed that the t665 handheld comes with headphones that have a volume control attached to them. Do any other companies sell headphones with a volume control on them such as this, and would this be compatible with the TG50?

Did you ever use the Audio Player on your NR? On my NR, there's an "AVLS" button that is something like "Auto Volume Limiting System" or something like that. It prevents the volume from getting too high and hurting your ears (with earphones).

Make sure that's not turned on.
