plzzzzzzzAren't you just looking for a launcher that automatically reads the MS and places the PRCs on its 'desktop'? Why wouldn't ZLauncher work?

No no no no. I know what you are talking about. Some applications can only be launched from the internal memory and w/ the skimpy amount of memory that the nx's come w/ particularly my nx70v, u want to know if there is an app that can fool the programs into thinkin that they are launching from the internal memory. Well unfortunately I would love a program like that too. I will do a little research on that, but as for now I know of no such hack or program.

Okay I did my homework and I found out exactly the application that you want. It's an shareware application called PowerRUN. You can download it here. http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodid=15870&searchtitle=Best%20Sellers&area=home.home Have Fun!

He's talking about MSMount/MSMount5 I think. That'll do what he describes, although it won't work for everything...

What Davidortiz wants, is an app that will create an alias in RAM, while the app remains on the memory card, allowing card app sorting on any launcher tab. Several apps can do that: most launchers (LauncherX, ZLauncher), some file Managers (McFile) and a shareware program called Shortcutz (http://www.sandsusa.com/shortcutz/default.htm).

PowerRun is a good one. if you want some more internal, look to JackFlash. Works great on mine. Gave me something like 5-6MBs extra internal.

hey guys, thanx for all those recommendations, unfortunately, for some reason i cant try them...
the shortcutz one, i wanted to download it, but the link in the link u gave me is broken, weeiiirrrrd
and the powerun one, i downloaded it and everything seemed fine, till i tried to run it for the first time, and a msg saying "the trial has ended" or something like that showed up, what up w/ that?!

I'm one of those dinosaurs who's been using my Clie Launcher rather than use RAM to put in another (damn small memory on TG5). But it sounds like it might be worthwhile to jump to ZLauncher. The biggest memory hogs for me are Docs To Go and BeyondContacts (also DataViz). Has anyone moved these to MS with ZLauncher? I can handle them in RAM while they're being used (but can't handle both PLUS SnapperMail, which I'm trying to start using).

I used to run both sheettogo and wordtogo from the MS, but now run them in ROM. But they worked well on MS. Left the "document" app in RAM to ensure that everyhing synched okay.

Both PowerRun and LinkStart do the work for you. LinkStart has more options available but most of times PowerRun will do it nicely. Sometimes there are special configurations for apps that use the extras of LinkStart (app files with different IDs, shared files, files that need to stay in memory while the rest in card, etc).

Hey BBalla4life...

Would you mind emailing me the full version of PowerRun? I'd really appreciate it! My email address is: g326m2001@yahoo.com.

Thanks in advance for your consideration....

Hey cerberus... you IDIOT!

BBalla4life has offered to email the software program to another individual and I was just asking HIM if he'd be willing to email it to me also... the key word it the sentence is HIM... I haven't asked you for anything so I'd thank you to keep your idiodic responses to yourself!

Don't you have anything better to do than stick your pointy nose into ADULT business that doesn't involve you?

GO GET A LIFE.... a meaniful one!

I have a better ideal... why don't you come MAKE ME buy it?

This does not work with DTG, in my expereince. The only stuff that can be placed on the MS are the primary components and they must be moved exactly per the instructions from DataViz. Everything else needs to be in RAM. I use JackFlash on an NX80 and have successfully moved most of the DTG components into flash and all runs quite well. That is your best option.

gman, you are getting such responses since we don't condone piracy in 1SRC. We are pro-developers here. Take the piracy conversation somewhere else. Same goes with you BBalla4life.

Thanks.

Just because someone offers you a stolen watch doesn't mean it's right. In a court of law you are just as guilty as the perp who stole it. And I would like to make you buy it. Give me an address and we'll meet up.

Adults know better than to steal. Well, the decent ones do anyway.

Thanks Reggie!

I have not used MSMount personally. I have heard that most of the time it works well, but occasionally will crash your handheld. Anyone with personal experience? I have been tempted to try it, but I value a stable Clie.

fyi...i loaded msmount 5 and it works well...so far. it has not caused my clie to crash yet. i use it to store a game (solitare), and avant go on my 256 ms. for a free program it is worth a try if you need it.
