NX80, NX73, or TH55 Need help!

My T2 died a couple of weeks ago and I've been trying to find a replacement. With sony gone there really isn't a choice except maybe for the Zodiac.

I found a NX73 Factory Ref., NX80 New Sealed, and TH55 New Sealed and was wondering if anyone had any advice on which one(s) I should go for. Since getting a replacement if the unthinkable should happen be almost next to impossible in another month or so I was thinking it may be a good idea to get two. But which two.....

Get the NX80 or the TH55, they both rule :)

Plus points of NX80 are the CF slot and speed.

TH55 is WiFi and battery life. Also is tablet form factor, whereas NX is a foldy one ;)

That said, the Zod is not bad either, but for me they rank 3rd in this race :)

What do you think about a Sony Factory Ref.? The NX73 was really dirt cheap. Its at my doorstep now can't wait to get home! Should I be concerned? Or should I just get another NX73 and call it a day?

Is the NX80 so much better than the NX73? I've just bought a refurbished NX73 and the only thing that stops it being absolutely better than perfect is the small memory. It just feels SO solid.

Memory, camera, colour. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these are the only differences. However, I think the camera alone justified the extra price of my NX80V..

You forgot the downside of the NX80, not available everywhere and no version with bluetooth ;)

As 1.3MP is still shitty I don't care about the camera, I only use it to capture pricetags and for that 300KP is enough. Overall the camera is the least interesting thing on the NX series (I am still astonished that mine still works after my clie took a bath ;) ).

How many Clie's do you need? :) If you decide you need two NX's, then I'd get two of the same (the NX80) just because I like having spare parts. The extra RAM in the NX80 sold me on it over the NX73. I really didn't care about the camera at all, but I pack so much junk on my devices that RAM is extremely important.

The jackflash page on Palmgear doesn't menation NX series - and implies it's only likely to give you 1.7mB extra anyway. Am I missing something?

:) Jack Flash just about doubled my available ram on my Sony NX80! I have the full noah pro dictionary(4718k), Word to Go(718k), Farkle (655k), Sheet to Go (551k) an e book (485k), Slide Show To Go (304k) J File (287K) and a few other apps. These are all in flash memory right now, at the same time, and get this...I still have 4584k left in Flash Memory! I didn't add all the files up but I got over 15megs of memory by using Jack Flash on my NX80. Well worth the amount. Some programs wont load in Flash. Advantgo which is 1 meg wont work, and neither will key suite, or My Bible. Still, if you can put an entire dictionary, and all the Dataviz Docs to Go apps and files, that makes it worth your while right there.
