Bought my T665 at Compusa Sunday for $229. Got my Krusell case from ebay in the mail today. I really like the T665. The form factor is great; the speed is good. I've not tried an ebook yet, but I did load MyBible with two translations of the bible and I have no problem reading it on the high res screen. I have visual problems and I was concerned about this. I'm still playing with the brightness control. I have it set about midpoint with the backlight on. The type seems to be very light under bright lights, but I guess it might just take some getting used to.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. I was using the Visor Prism and had almost decided on the SJ33. Spent much time mulling over the T665, the SJ33 and the M515. The sale is what finally tipped the scales. But I really like it.
heh

Welcome to the T665! It's great! I've had mine since Sept. and couldn't be happier.
Try Teal Magnify from Tealpoint.com , It might further help when reading. It is available for a free trial.
Also, FontHack 123 is good, as it allows you to change fonts easily.
Also, I've found the best trade off on battery life and readability, is to set the screen brightness to about 1/3. I hope that helps too. I read and write on mine constantly.
Enjoy! :)

At the risk of being flamed I would like to say my T665 is perfect for my use. I do not communicate with a cell phone but occasionally. I do not put music on my pda. I do not cover my pda screen with a cover and never have. I cover my grafitic area with #810 scotch brand tape which is replaced weekly. I have done this ever since I have had a pda (I started with the first Palm Pilot). Every model pda I have sold does not have scratches on the grafitic area nor the screen. Virtual grafitic does not interest me as I would have to cover the entire screen with a screen protector. A larger screen does interest me but with a hard grafitic area. The functions buttons for my use could be removed as the back button and the scroll wheel is all I use. Give me a TG50 with these features plus more memory and a NX size screen and I will consider upgrading from my T665. If not then I will stay with what I have.
Now I will duck so not to be hit with all of the eggs tossed at me!

Well I guess if someone is going to throw eggs they might as well through some at me. Your useage is about like mine. I do use a cell phone (not heavily) but I don't want it connected to my pda. I listen to a lot of music but I use a headphone fm/am stereo or a personal CD player. I don't want that connected to my pda either.
I use my pda for its original intent--phone numbers, dates, organization of personal data, simple games and reading. I don't care about battery life because I charge it every night. It beats the heck out of the old daytimers and I have a lot of fun with it.
Oh and did I mention--I really like my T665!!!

Zipman - you wrote:

I wonder if thatīs true. Looks to me Virtual Graffiti covers the same area as "real" Graffiti, only in many programs you can make it disappear - games , pictures, spreadsheets aso. And then back on when you need it.
I am just as crazy with my T665 (actually itīs a T675) as you guys, only canīt see why a T665 with VG shouldnīt be the next Sony development to wish for.

The tape I use (#810 scotch brand) would be in the way of seeing anthing of the screen with a virtual graffiti area closed and the full screen on display. I would rather have a full size screen always on and a hard graffiti area. With this concept I do not need any full screen protection, just the graffiti area. Plus I like I said I have been using this tape on all of my pda's and am on only my second roll of tape. I do use my pda for a ton of other things beyond just the standard pda application. Like Wizardb, I would be totally lost with out my T665. I have on it every bit of information I feel I need to have at my fingertips at any time day or night and it has absolutly replaced my notebook when on vacation and non related work trips. I have a sony (Thinkoutside) keyboard and a Pision modem that I do carry with me.

I see.
I use something similar on my old pilot and my Palm V.
Itīs very effective, but youīre right - it wouldnīt work with VG.
On my TC675 I use the Brando screen protector that covers the entire
screen. It has a surface that feels like paper, but itīs 100% transparent.
Iīm very happy with it. But it is costly, īround $20, as I recall.
