Hi,
Yesterday I was in a meeting at work and turned on the T5 to add something to my to-do list. After entering the task, i tried to shut off the T5 but it wouldnt shut off. Nothing was locked up as i tried going in and out of launcher. The botton wasnt doing anything except sounding cheap and badly made. I then set it to go off in 30 sec but that didnt work either.
I finally had to do a reset and that did it.
Is there any way to turn it on-off some other way coz I have a sneaking suspicion that the on-off switch isnt going to last long.
Has this happened to any of you?
Any ideas?
thx

hi,
i have the same problem but i just use the shortcut "upward swipe" thing to lock and turn off the device. that works and i am able to turn the t5 back on with the power button, but i can't turn it off with the power button. after a while like later in the day, it goes away and i'm able to use the power button to turn it off. i haven't noticed if it starts working after a reset, so i'll have to keep an eye out.

u can get software named Sleep (http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=48275).
and then assign one of the buttons to Sleep, so after pressing this button - T5 will turn off.

for turning T5 on i just assigned one of the buttons to zlauncher, so when i press it - T5 just turn on (zlauncher is my default launcher)

that all is good but Sleep is not free (well, it's very easy to write such programm so i dunno why somebody wants money for it)

free solution - u can use software Offstroke (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/offstroke.shtml), with help of this programm i turn T5 off when i tap one of the edges of the screen, or u can use Strokes. great and free software.

also there is Sleep OS5 (http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=51513) , does same job, but i never used it so dunno if it's good or not.
