Hi,
many of you have GMAIL right now, and possibly have invited many users into GMAIL! Google allows its testers to request features via the GMAIL Help->Contact us screens. What about using this feature?
IMAP is a new protocol that is similar to POP3 but allows you to categorize your emails into folders, subfolders, etc ON THE SERVER-this means that you will have a copy of all your mail sitting in directories on the gmail machine that handles your emails... . The directory structure also is saved on the server-so same config. everywhere!
Now, currently this feature isn't offered. What about asking all of our referred users to request this feature and requesting it ourselfes too in regular intervals?

I never use Imap, most of my mail servers have time limits and auto cleanups on your box, so if you want your mail safe, I have to download it. :)

Besides, isn't the whole idea of the Gmail engine "Search, don't sort"?

Yes,
but do you need to keep to that idea? They already gave POP to the users wanting to use GMAIL as a traditional email account, so now lets claim IMAP! GMAIL does not have a Time Limitataion BTW!
Best regards

What I want is the ability to turn off SSL security so that I can use Clie Mail. No-one cares about the mail that I get, and we now know that SSL has been hacked, so whats the use?

I don't even know if I have SSL on-thank you for the hint!
