Is there anything else besides avantgo for the mac platform since there is no conduit for osx? I could go wireless thru my T68i but AT&T will rob me. What else can I use?

How about a step-by-step intro to iSiloXC for those of us unfamiliar with NewsFeeds and OS X Terminal?
I've been trying to set up ISiloXC for 2 days now. I've managed to download the wcc110.ixl channel list from Turcic and to convert the channels to .pdb files, but I'd like to set up my own channels--ediiting Turcic's wcc110.ixl channel list is just too complicated.
Let's say I want a channel for The New York Times: where do I get the correct URL? How do I make sure the links to the various sections I want to read (Books, Entertainment, Technology, etc) will be available on my channel?
I've searched but can't find much help with these basic issues.
Wannabe,
If you aren't comfortable in Terminal, then iSiloXC is not the program you want. Instead, download iSiloX. It works beautifully in OS X and has a complete Help file that takes you through things.
The basic mobile edition of the NYT is at:
http://archive.nytimes.com/nytimes-partners/omnisky/main.html
It doesn't have all the sections you are looking for, or all the ones you could get in AvantGo. If anyone knows where Books and Arts and Leisure are, I'd also love to know.
Good Luck,
elo
Also, you might consider NewsMac (http://users.aber.ac.uk/rlp9/newsmac/index.html). Haven't tried it yet, but it claims to read RSS feeds, and can Palm sync by creating iSilo files of the feeds you subscribe to.

I found a way to sync my Avantgo channels with a PB G4 over Bluetooth, works great for me.
I am now able to connect with a NZ over BT to my PB and
- surf the web from my bed
- check emails
- sync Avantgo
and much much more ... its great!
Go to technohappymeal (http://www.technohappymeal.com/archives/000070.html) and follow the steps as described there. Make sure to read the manual!

hey knoppi,
for the benefit of others trying to surf via bluetooth on their clie/mac set ups, would you mind posting instructions on exactly how you got the "technohappymeal" stuff to work?
the more detailed the better (especially the settings on the clie side), as i've tried exhaustively with my TG50 to connect, but to no avail. (i always get a "serial error/bad or faulty modem" error message)
thanks,
ht

iSilo and iSiloX are the only way to go!!!
iSilo is the program that goes on your handheld
iSiloX is the program that you use on your Mac to download sites...
This is the best web-clipping program i've ever used, excellent product!

I am not a big fan of iSilo.
You have to download the scripts, additional I downloaded this IPNetshare program for free.
Run the program, launch a Terminal, type "su ls" e.g. enter your password. Copy and paste this other "su ..." press enter until you have this "Done .." . Then set up a BT connection on your Clie with your Mac, connect and everything works fine.
Its described in the manual at technohappymeal ...
