i've been enjoying the flash player on the TG-50 and was thinking of buying the NX-60 for the larger screen. I read somewhere on this board that the NX series flash player does not play sound. Is this true? and if so why not?
Thanks
Don

Yes its true.
Why? Well, I guess since it's an older version of the Flash player and the first release.

if the flash sound is mp3 --> no sound!
if the flash sound is this cdpmg (donīt know the true word for it, but something like that) --> full sound!
what i mean is that the flash player on the NX supports not all sound formats...
i think that also flash MX files arent compatible

Your right. For some reason I read the first question as does the NX's not play MP3 sound.
If the sound was encoded using MP3, then it won't work on the NX. All other sound should work.
Sorry for any confusion.
Would the flash player that came with the TG-50 work on the NX? I estimate the chance of Sony coming out with the updated flash player for the NX to be really slim.

does the TG-50 play mp3 flash?

1) The flash file uses wav, so a .swf with mp3 will not be readed
2)If u was running the mp3 player before using the flash player u should "close" the mp3 player by openning the video player so the dsp could be free. At least with my experience, I have to open the video player so the dsp could get free in order to play my .swf with sound(wav).
Hope that helps.
