I just read a post on boingboing.net on what makes a good moderator and how it can make a real difference to an online community.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank the 1src folks for running this awesome website. The forums are civil and the community is really healthy I think. (Other forums often degenerate into nasty exchanges between trolls.)

Especially german forums tend to get cluttered with political debates about minor stuff while ignoring the main problem

Even over at Palminfocenter things get heated quickly. Negative people spreading negative vibes. The world has enough of that already.

I agree. The staff here really does look after the site. Of course, a lot has to do with the members of 1src. Everyone here deserves the credit of making this site a place people want to come and visit. Thank you!

Joel and Reggie have poured a huge amount of effort into their sites over the years. How appropriate to recognize them periodically for their work. 1Src is very different from most any other Palm OS site because of the civility of its members and the quick action with those who violate that civility. Thanks Joel, Reggie, and to all the moderators! :D

1SRC is the best.

Suprising what gets acomplished when you give a hoot. The 1SRC crew is clearly an example of this.
