forgive me if this or part of this was covered elsewhere. It seems like "help with quests" didn't cover any of this....

>For version 1.05X (since v1.05), did they fix the bug for the Highlander not getting 25% dam bonus on weapons?

>Isn't the Knight a much better overall choice compared to the SM? What reason would ppl use SM over Kn (other than to try something diff)?

SM gets attk bonuses on all swords, blades, and daggers, but can't even use heavy swords or blades. He can't even utilize heavy armor. SM does have to options to pump 3 dex points per level, but it seems that your points would be better spent in other attributes and raising Dex with magical items instead.

The Kn gets to use heavy swords/blades, heavy armor, shields w/o penalty, but still gets to use cure spells (which i do acknoledge are relativley worthless w/o good int to back it up like the real spell casters have) AND still have dam bonus for heavier swords (which Will come soon enough later in the game).

>SM gets 25% bonus dam for all swords, daggers, and blades. ANy1 kno the dam bonus for Kn and heavy swords?

>some party sugg say to use Kn and BM at front, while Mages/Clerics in back. Isn't it a stretch to make a BM a decent fighter AND a spell caster? (ie, pumping points into INT and STR, to keep up on both?). I figured it'd be better to leave BM's in the back row and just have 'em in melee when the front line ppl are in trouble or when a BM runs out of sp. Has any1 managed to BM's in the front row 'kick-***'?

For Legacy, I'vs started off now with an Adv, Sw Mast, Mage, and BM. Then ditched the Adv for a kn, and finally ditched the the BM for another Mage. Don't wanna have to change classes again after this last time. It is quite a hassle to have char at diff levels

No, v1.05 did not fix this -- it wasn't discovered 'til after this final version was made.

There seems to be no reason to choose SM unless you dislike magic (read: knight's ability).

I've taken several (ok, too many) parties very far with a battlemage in the front row -- decent swordwork (I always give her the best sword I can find) and good firepower at higher levels. Backrow (in the past) has been cleric/mage for lovely healing and more firepower, esp with each armed only with bows.

My latest party has Knight - BM in front with dual mages in rear -- exquisite firepower, terrible healing. And I'm spending a fortune in mana potions.
