i'm probably going to buy a $300 NX70v (open-item) from BestBuy tomorrow or Friday. It's an in-box item, has everything and has no scratches whatsover. Considering they are selling the same item for $600 on the shelf, I can't resist. A few questions before I go out and buy it:

- How much is the WiFi card?
- Does anyone know if OliveTree or BibleReader work with OS5? I need some type of Bible program, even if I need to buy it.
- Do the T-series connectors work with the NX70? I have a T615 now and bought a 3-in-1 USB home/AC charger/sync cable. Will this work with the NX?
- How sensitive is the voice recorder compared to the average iPaq's? How long of a voice memo can I record on a 64mb stick?
- Any general comments on size, weight, or use that you seem fit (compared to the T615).

Thanks!

Uh, you should go buy that cuz it'll be gone soon...
The T series connector is the same so it will all work. The card is 150, and I think that there is a $50 rebate floating around. The voice recorder is great, you can get prolly 2 or more hours on high quality. I think that the quality is better than the ipaq. The size isn't bad on it either. I love my NX.

how about software compatibility with OS5? the TG forum has told me that just about all OS4.1 3rd party apps work fine, but a few won't... those that don't are normally higher-end programs like games, etc. My concern is more with freeware apps, anyways, seeing as how the big guys will upgrade their games/apps to OS5 given time.

I use OliveTree and it works great. It's not Hi-res+ though. If you look for an app called CodeDiver, it can force it in to hi-res+ mode. It's a cool app to have anyway as it does alot of tricks.

If you use the hi-quality mode on a 64MB stick I think you will get about an hour and a half of record time. But in the long mode you can expect to get around 3.75 - 4 hours. The long mode works great for voice and is probably all you would need. The hi-quality mode is definatly hi-quality and maybe even to good for just recording memos.

As for app compatiblty, I think just about every app has been updated, or there is a different app that takes over the functions. If you do a search of the NX forum, I seem to remember a thread about hacks and apps that don't work on OS5, and the apps people are using to replace them.

i'm now the proud owner of a slightly-used NX70v. the hump is my only slight complaint and even that is easily overlooked in favor of the keyboard *and* graffiti! i had the good fortune of getting the display model, meaning it has a slight scratch but it was $50 cheaper and already full charged!
