View Full Version : Apps can't find db if on ms
How are people dealing with those applications that require their databases to be in memory, not on the ms? For example, I can't put the massive scrabble dictionary on my ms - the game won't play. Do people constantly switch files back and forth, or is there a better way?
Thanks!

Most use PowerRun to do it. It copies the app and all it's db's to RAM and then removes them when done.

powerrun is great except when you are using big db like the 8mb of maps i use in mapopolis. it takes nearly 30 seconds to start up and that is just not acceptable. jackflash and the extra 4mb helped a lot.:D

Just as an FYI.... I have the ScrabbleDict.pdb file and the ScrabbleDefn.pdb file installed on my MS. They are in the PALM/PROGRAMS directory. Trial and error and I got it. No need for a Scrabble folder in there either. Just use your Clie Files app. or MS Import to move them there after you install everything to your memory stick.
Good Luck
Thanks - where can I find PowerRun? not found at cnet or palm or sony

Actually, it's also here in the files section. Click on the "Applications" link on the left side of most ClieSource pages and it's under "Utilities."
