Actually the title says it all. How many are there?

And is there anything to be gained by playing that version, other than the fun of playing & the delightful sound & visual effects?

It's endless of course... they aren't 'levels' really... the endlessness aspect of it is that it tweak the random piece selection to ensure it encludes at least one combination.

judging but the jewels in the collecting box, there are 64 levels, as i currently have all the center jewels (6 droplet-shaped + 1 center diamond-shaped) and 5 circular ones, still missing 3. I do not know what will happen when you get all of them. I head that it gets some secret mode of the game unlocked. We'll see.

Yah after 65 I got sick of it. I thought I would have finished/ UntilI saw all my gmes disappear on the Dial and turn into one black stary one...then you do it al over again for the next spot. :(

If u can get to level 280, then u'll be able to unlock Finity mode. Something i won't do, as i already have a day job

LEVEL 280....you must be joking:-) Guess it´s not something you have to go for streight away...Sounds more like a long time project, play a few levels every other day, and in a year you might be there. Actually a pretty nice idea to have such a "surprise" in store for those long time jewel miners...

I played 3-4 hours per day. I started endless mode on 10 Dec 04. I got finity mode on 14 Jan 05.

Astraware just stated that they'll have a shortcut (or some easier way) to unlocking Finity mode in their next update. Too many ppl complained about those 280 levels and they finally listened 8)

there IS a reason because in fact by playing it you can ACTIVATE A SECRET GAME MODE - search the web for more hints!:)

Finity mode, along with the other 4 hidden modes offered in Bej2 just gives more and different gameply variety.. Specifically... Finity mode i hear is one of the neatest in where power gems and hypercubes fall in from the top just like regular gems do. Unfortunately... most of us will never play it if we have to play through 280 levels :(

Right about that! Unless one played with the palm plugged into its power source, the loss of battery life playing that game for that long haul would cost a lot more than the game itself.

For those who just enjoy playing game after game, the Endless mode is fantastic. It's also a great training mode for how the power/hyper cubes work.

Nonetheless, for those who play with the aim of unlocking the Finity mode, it's probably too long & too discouraging a process. Hopefully, Astraware will make a change.
