Saw another review, thought I would put in another plug for this mouse....

I don't know what the reviewer thinks is software problems.... Although I do agree that the software was just a modified version from previous models, so the battery info was useless... still, didn't hurt me none to have it there. ;)

It is expensive, I do think it is worth it though.... you don't realize just how frustrating the tiny optical stalls were when trying to do fine control in games or other software until you get an optical "burp" and your mouse jumps (grrr....) I was noticing it more and more as I tried to do finer and finer activities (bouncing quarters in a glass in liesure suit larry MCL trying for perfect scores)....

when I upgraded to the MX1000 Laser, perfect every time... no more opticals for me. :) Laser ALL the way!! :D

When are they going to apply the technology to a trackball?

A trackball. The thumb ball device, doesn't need the extra precision. :p *kidding*

Expensive, what kind of crack are they smoking. And software issues are a PC thing, my Mac has been flawless. Logitech must be rushing the new batch out, mine never had any plastic residue left from the manufacturing process, where my thumb rests.

I give that article a 2. :)

some how the MX1000 and a baby salamander's behind dont sound too good in the same sentence  ... and what were doing with salamander's bottom ???? :p :D

didnt quite understand why that guy wanted to chain the mouse to a PC/Laptop  - that kinda defeats the entire idea of it being cordless :o

I cant wait to post my thoughts on it - just a few more days to go .... :D

For those of you who want a smaller corded version, Logitech is coming out with the MX518 that uses the same sensor.

I'm with you, cords are for mountain climbers. :)

But thanks for the link. Me friend will be very interested. He was one of the unlucky few that encountered a cursor jumping issue with the MX1000.
